(“Torcan Staffing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website torcanstaffing.com (the “Site”) and provides truck driver staffing and recruitment services in the Greater Toronto Area. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our Site, submit a job application, request our services, or otherwise interact with us.

2.2 Driver Job Application Form
If you apply for a driving position through our Site, we collect substantially more detailed information, which may include:
- Contact details (name, address, phone number, email)
- Resume and work history
- Employer references, including up to five previous employers, positions held, supervisor names, supervisor phone numbers, employment start/end dates, and reasons for leaving
- A copy or image of your driver’s license (front and back)
- Driving abstract / driver’s history record
- CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration) information, where applicable
- Traffic conviction history (citations and forfeitures) for the past five years
- Collision history (commercial and personal) for the past five years, including dates and types of incidents
- Criminal record search results
- Availability (days and times you can work)
- Any additional supporting documents you choose to upload (e.g., letters of experience, insurance letters)
This is sensitive personal information. We collect it only because it is necessary to assess your suitability for placement with our trucking-company clients, many of whom require this information as a condition of hiring drivers.
2.3 Employer Quote Request Form
If you are an employer requesting a driver through the form on our Truck Driver Staffing page or similar landing pages, we collect:
- Your name
- Your company name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- A description of your staffing need (e.g., ad hoc/temporary driver, permanent placement, licence type required)
We use this information to respond to your request and, where applicable, to match your staffing needs with available drivers.
2.4 Other Employer Inquiries
If you contact us directly by phone or email about driver staffing needs, we collect the contact and company information you provide to us (e.g., company name, contact name, phone number, email, and staffing requirements).
2.5 Automatically Collected Information
Like most websites, our Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including:
- Session and functionality cookies required for our contact, application, and quote-request forms to work correctly
- Security-related data processed by our website firewall/security service, which may log IP addresses and request data to detect and block malicious activity
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, which help us understand how visitors use our Site

We do not use applicant background-check information (criminal record, driving abstract, collision/conviction history) for any purpose other than assessing suitability for the specific driving positions you apply for or are considered for.
4. Google Analytics, Google Ads & reCAPTCHA
Our Site uses the following Google services:
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our Site, such as pages viewed, time spent on the Site, and general location (at a city or regional level). This helps us understand and improve our Site.
- Google Ads Conversion Tracking: If you click on one of our Google Ads and then visit our Site, a cookie may be placed on your browser. This allows us to measure which ads lead to inquiries or applications, so we can evaluate and improve our advertising.
- Google reCAPTCHA: We use Google reCAPTCHA to help protect our forms from spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends this data to Google for analysis.

- With prospective employer clients: If you submit a driver application, we share relevant portions of your application — including reference, licensing, driving history, and background check information — with trucking companies and other employer clients considering you for a position. This is the core purpose of our staffing service.
- With service providers: We may share information with third parties who help us operate our Site, process applications and quote requests, host our data, or provide background-check/reference-verification services, under obligations to protect your information.
- With analytics and advertising providers: We share Site usage and conversion data with Google in connection with Google Analytics and Google Ads, as described in Section 4.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Torcan Staffing, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers: If Torcan Staffing is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including:

8. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.
